July 2022 - The Ming Family is sad to announce the recent passing of our co-founder, Jim Russell in April of this year. Doreen decided to retire and as such Ming's proud 50 + year history has come to an end.

While there may be a future somewhere for our remaining inventory, our retail gallery in Issaquah has permanently closed.

Ming’s was more than a store. We were devoted to cultivating interest in and educating the community about the relevance of Asia’s 5,000-year history.

 

Founded in Seattle in 1966, our careers began as historians, restorers & international importers, nurtured by three generations of traders & art dealers.

 

Thus, Ming’s was born from our shared passion for authentic antiques and the lure of our multi-cultural heritage.

Our company, family owned & operated for over 50 years, offered an array of historical treasures, art, vintage & antique custom jewelry, and furnishings from 11 countries in Asia.

 

Every item was hand-selected & purchased.

 

A visit to Ming’s was a journey through 5,000 years of history & tradition from the Imperial Dynasties of Asia. A series of exhibitions and lectures were held throughout the years.
